I think the rule stinks that defense can take all the time in the world to substitute with the clock and play clock running and the ref preventing a snap.

Yeah, I'm not going to say the defense was great, but I think the couple blown coverages stand out and make the performance seem worse. The defense isn't the reason we lost. The turnovers were.

I echo others' sentiments about Hastings. It is very sad that after a great career at UC Davis, his last game was such a disaster. I feel for the guy and I hope he will look back over his career as one to be proud of and not dwell on this one, an anomaly.

I thought it was odd starting our first drive with a cute play to LL at QB, which surprised nobody. The fake punt was great.

Going to be interesting to see how they do next year with a new QB and RB. I'm sure there are other studs who are graduating but those two specifically are going to be really hard to replace. Was this just a 1 year fluke or can we adequately replace those guys (obviously, whoever the RB is won't be Lan and the QB likely won't throw for 4000 yards) and get back to the playoffs.

Who are we rooting for next week?

This game should have been on ESPN U or ABC, especially seeing how two of the other games were blowouts. Few games could have matched this one for excitement even if we came up short.

Next year is a tough schedule. However, I like the direction of the program. I’m excited to see the new players coming in.
