Personally I cannot wait to take a trip up to Reno, stop and mountain bike on the way up, and watch a night game of MBB. I think the pit of UNM also sounds like a fantastic venue.

Hawai`i probably has as good an arena as any MWC team, but the campus is not on par with the rest of the island as far as beauty is concerned. The "stadium" right now is on campus and holds less than 17,000 waiting until who knows when the state will build a new one. The old one used to host the NFL Pro Bowl, but it was not kept up and was condemned in 2024 and the state hasn't even gotten around to awarding a contract to tear it down, so I don't expect a new stadium for at least ten years.

We've gone to a few games in Hawai'i. I like the stadium but it's a pain to get to. The traffic was awful after the game. We took a bus the 2nd time. The stop wasn't really close (then) but it worked better than driving.

Reno is a cool roadie. Been up there for football. It reminded me of Weber (Ogden).

San Jose State is closest for me, but not super stoked on that trip.
I'm thinking the UNLV trip is a must at least once.

    Two things:

    1)
stop and mountain bike on the way upJdur
The MTB in my username is because mountain biking has a been a big hobby of mine for the last 20 years. I'm all for a destination mountain bike/Davis sports road trip.

    2) My inlaws live outside of Boulder. I could see going to games at Wyoming and Air Force and making a trip out of it to visit grandma and grandpa.

I thought that’s what it was! Some great riding around most of the schools in the MW. I’d love to get some Colorado riding in, or even Albuquerque seems like they could have some cool desert riding. Getting an excuse to go on a Wyoming road trip is always a good one ;). Are you local to NorCal or somewhere else? I could talk on a thread about bikes and access for ages haha. The general public can go to Air Force games obviously huh? I’m sure it’s an interesting environment!

I'm in San Mateo. And I'm not sure what my wife dislikes more; me talking on end for hours about Davis sports or mountain bikes. I'll be doing cyclocross races in Fairfield the first 8 Sunday mornings of the year if you ever want to give it a try. The UC Davis cycling club (team?) shows up every once in a while. Which is a real bummer for my wife, because then I get to tell her stories that combine cycling and UC Davis athletics.

hahaah!! I get it! I’m up in Marin so it seems like we have some similarity in mountain bike trail type and access stuff… as well as being just close enough to Davis to be reminded of the sports constantly haha

A game in New Mexico at the infamous "Pitt" will be fun. That place is wild.
