Don’t remember that from undergrad days but in more recent years, my son, a physics major and smarter than me, told me about his (Schrödinger’s) cat. Let’s hope that the Aggie cat in the box is alive, or conversely, the coyote dead.
People always ask (and question) why I love Davis sports so much. The fact that somehow in a discussion about an upcoming game, we're off the rails in physical chemistry sums up why I'm a passionate alum.
I started working in the food industry 5 years ago to the day, and I've been using my o-chem book here and there. We have several new customers in South Dakota. My boss does not seem to feel as strongly as I do that those customers need a site visit this Friday or next Monday.
Work, family, prepping for family visiting for Christmas. The list goes on and on. My boss also went to Davis, and I've gone to more games this year than he did his entire time in college. So, trying to get him to pay for me to go to a football game in South Dakota isn't high on his list of priorities.
Rewatching the Tarleton State @ USD game --- I like the Aggie lineup vs. this club. Tarleton runs such a unique offense, it's hard to gauge the Coyotes defensively. They are very opportunistic - bad passes become turnovers, but they gave up a lot of big plays vs. the Texans.
Like Davis they have a lot of weapons on offense, they grind it out with Theis and Pierre Jr. - then pop a big one outside with their speed guys. Bouman is a big slingin' dude, he sees the field very well, like his decision making. Yotes like to control the clock, let their big dogs eat up front.
Several games, they've given up early leads, but like Davis, they show tremendous resolve. Don't see any panic in South Dakota - they look experienced, and not a lot of dumb penalties.
You know why I got the history wrong was because I went on the school athletic website for historical data...they only covered a 2009-2015 window, show we've played 8 times, and display a 1-3 record. Link
hmm hate the new sudwerk renovation looks like a target home goods section.... BUT good food. Family wants to drive up and the woodstocks atmosphere would be better id image...
The problem with Woodstocks is its so small its hard to find good seating when its busy. Sudwurks has an outside screen with lots of seating, but I’m not so sure the video is very good quality. But I’m sure they’ll have it on the monitors inside as well. The Grad was the perfect venue for watch parties. Non traveling team members would be there and the atmosphere was tremendous.
Woodstock's is too small to be the only watch party venue. I think they made a smart move by adding in Sudwerk as well. I sure hope we fill up both places!
The Aggies are down 7 after watching the refs against Tarleton. A catch in the end zone after being dropped by their receiver was ruled complete after being caught by a different receiver. On review it is obvious the ball hit the ground. Refs ruled a TD. No way!
Also, the last USD TD (reverse motion sweep) to seal the game had 2 very noticeable holds by 2 different O-linesman. One of the Tarleton defenders was throwing up his arms in frustration while being held. Got to play through any perceived injustices though - can’t control those.
