We are toying around with the idea of doing a BYOB Tailgate for this Saturday's Big Sky Championship. Any Interest out there? Are there some of y'all who already rent a spot or are planning on tailgating? Would people been down to pitch in to reserve a spot? Would be fun to tailgate with teh die-hards for the BIG game.
Also, wanted to start this thread to help promote interest in tailgating for future games as well. As we all know it is a college football staple across the country and we can definitely UP our tailgating game in Davis.
.....locating the whereabouts of the AST banner/flag.
4 dudes trying to coordinate while living in different parts of the country is only slightly more challenging than 4 dudes trying to coordinate living near the same campus.....but not by much :D
Any and all are invited to the APP Tailgate on LaRue at 11 am. Should be a good crowd. Burgers and Dogs, bring meat if you are really hungry bc we might run out. Let us know if you plan to roll through. Go Ags!
I'll see if I can stop by. I need to break out from my Company Christmas Weekend Party (3 day affair) on Saturday morning, catch the game and get back by 6:00 pm.
Awesome! I'm still working out the schedule with my cousin's son, who is joining me as an honorary Aggie for the day. I'm glad we can tailgate as close to the cows as possible so he can get the full experience.
This kiddo is 22, so we'll bring plenty of beer and stuff to throw on the grill. I've hyped this up, so he's expecting something along the lines of Old School and my best Will Ferrell impression.
Dr.Mike has been saying for years that the team aggie hospitality should be moved over closer to the other tailgates. It would make it easier to mingle around without having to go to the opposite side of the stadium.
until they built the practice field, it WAS on that side and led to a much more festive pregame. Easier to walk back and forth between TA tailgate and the rest of the groups. We’re isolated on the other side
yep we got his ticket already. The junior Aggie comment was a reference to the most recent episode where they talk about fielding questions from junior aggies. Thanks for looking out though!
some were speculating last night that some of our low attendance for Saturday is due to kids not getting in for free (even though their tickets are cheap!). I heard something like 1/3 of season ticket folks did NOT buy their seats for Saturday.
I'm kind of surprised about how many season ticket holders did not buy a ticket to this game. There may be a few like us who missed the Team Aggie email and ended up buying tickets but aren't sitting in our season ticket seats.
I purchased seats on the Monday after the brackets were announced. I was not given the option to choose seats; I had to take the "best available" option, which was not great. It appears they started filling the Premium seats from the outside - in. In other words, they start at the 35 yard line and work toward the 50 yard line. My seats aren't bad, but it was not at all to my advantage to get my tickets early. I think it is all AI in charge or some undergrad who hates football.
I know. It was confusing and it's not the first time we've had some kind of difficulty with ticketing. We also had a big mixup getting our Team Aggie passes. They eventually sorted it out but it certainly wasn't smooth sailing. It took a lot of our time and persistence and was frustrating.
We're easy going when it comes to things like this. We just figure people are trying to do their best but it doesn't help ticket sales when the purchasing process is confusing.
