The article also references the installation of lights at Dobbins Stadium.
I've seen Bryant Field in Marysville. This is not an upgrade. Still I recall they had ok attendance there for the Feather River Mudcats and the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox until the Golden Baseball League folded.
According to Wikipedia the much-despised current A's president Dave Kaval founded the Golden League as a business school class project at Stanford.
Kind of stupid the High Wheelers laid off all those front office people. Like none of them would be willing to move/commute. They should change the team name as High Wheeler makes no sense. Maybe something more suited to the city like the Marysville Homeless or the Marysville Crime.
If memory serves, when the BB stadium was built they had the presence of mind to install conduit for future stadium lighting. But and it is a big but, this was a mostly voluntary construction project, so who knows if those conduits meet present standards and codes or can still work. If this is yes, it could save a lot of money. But my gut says no. You construction guys know this much better than I do. Thoughts?
I remember someone, probably abridge, saying the lights were purchased prior to the season by the ownership group and were en route but stuck somewhere. Perhaps they finally arrived ?
The procurement of lights may be part of their lease agreement.
