It must be nice to have the luxury (time + money) of flying to random cities to watch UCD athletics.

To really get ahead of ourselves, you'd probably only see that if they made it to Frisco, given the lead time. I don't think they are getting that far though.

Not that I'm going, but it looks like there are plenty of flights out of SFO through DEN for <$500.

The Cats alumni center chartered a flight and buses to bring their fans out to Davis. Its just a conversation at this point. But should we win on 12/7, I’m not so sure it could be implemented in 5 days.

If I knock off TWO locations on my travel bucket list (winter in Omaha and Vermillion), I’d be a fool not to go! Just need to get Hawaii back on the schedule.

The Hawaii trip was a blast. 6th man planned his honeymoon around the game date. We tailgated out of rental cars in the parking lot. The entire band must have been there.

Omaha and Sioux Falls. I think it's a little cheaper if you want to fly home Monday.

Ah, yes, remember when the Band used to go to every away game? That was awesome.

At the MSU game the band didn't seem to be at full force.

in the 2000s the band travel budget fell short so we paid the difference out of our own pockets with some help from the alumni band. To control costs we usually rented vans, either from the university or from Enterprise, drove all night in shifts, and negotiated sleeping on the floors of gymnasiums. Eventually as a safety measure the university decided to require professional bus/air transport and hotel arrangements. So travel kind of stopped since that greatly increased costs.
