During this week's episode they give a shoutout (around the 47 minute mark) to an AST user who apparently went over to the Aggie Pack to give cheer suggestions to the MCs.

Is a GOAL of his to coach, and to coach college football?

Does he know Plough well? What kind of offensive schemes does he like?

He was the Head Coach at Patrick Henry HS in San Diego for 3 seasons, turning around a bad program. But maybe we can ask the college coaching part!

I'd like to hear his take on all of this stuff that's happening in college football with teams moving to new conferences, the huge influx of NIL money, players transferring left and right through the portal etc? Also, what would he like to see for the future of Aggie football and athletics? Does he feel we should stay put in the FCS or make plans for moving up?

I was a student at Davis 72-74, and I remember Lou Bronzan as a player, but they never mention his playing career in the Hall of Fame release besides that he played. I think he had a prominent role although I don’t recall the details and there certainly were some memorable games in that period.

Biggs the QB in 72 was a Little “All-American”. Davis was selected to go to Atlantic City to play in the Boardwalk bowl, inside the Atlantic City Convention hall, against Massachusetts . The dimensions allowed only shallow end zones and while Davis racked up lots of yardage they could only score 14 points because they couldn’t pass into the end zone,
Back then the offensive line was between 210 and 240 lbs, so when they played scholarship schools it was tough to run. Might have been the first game ever on TV for Davis, i don’t know.
Biggs graduated and then 1973 Jim Speck was a true Freshman QB, threw for 419 yards against Boise State at Toomey field, and Davis lost 32-31. Couldn’t get a pass rush against Boise’s much bigger line.

Lou was a LB from 72-74. First team all FWC as a senior. They probably didn’t talk much about his playing days because he was selected for his coaching/contributor. Not sure why they list his time as 1997-2015 in the press release. He coached much earlier than that

Thanks. The totality of peoples contributions is worthy of mention.
Storage is cheap these days, they should retain the old rosters of players and coaches so people can look this stuff up. You can’t even find out who the coaches were in 2010.

You guys had such kind words for Lou based on the reading from the Homecoming Week Podcast, thought posting Lou's video from the Hall of Fame ceremony would be appropriate here:

What an interesting conversation with Biggs and his reasons for retiring that surprised me. He could have talked “spend more time with family” but it was really candid that he felt resource deficits were crimping his competitive spirit. I know it’s easy to forget what a bad budget situation the state was in at the time but I’m curious if his comments reflected on Warzecka, Vanderhoef, Katehi or someone else.

when you are forced to compete against full scholarship programs with 30-35 scholarships, it’s a struggle! Amazing he had the level of success he did at D1. And never complained

Yes, Yes and Yes. In my opinion, Hawk and Blue came in and completely upgraded the facilities and culture, and everybody still here is riding those coat-tails. Plough has to build with the alumni and the administration and continue the momentum! Winning Helps!
