Yeah, I get what happened... but the "you gotta be joking" is more just a reference to this game. The Ags are just struggling to do much of anything correctly against a team that is nowhere near the caliber of what we played last week.
I'd say all the momentum is with Davis, but that last drive of the Vikings is concerning, our defense is severely underplaying today... Will there be adjustments to dial in contained pressure?
How many times have we had the too many players on the line of scrimage or in the backfield?
I laughed when an opposing coach, pressed to come up with some praise for Davis in the Gould years came up with what I thought was faint praise that Davis always lined up correctly. I guess that is an accomplishment we should envy.
On the plus side, the team seems to be "escaping the trap" and have played like they should have been after the middle of the second quarter. Also give Chachere credit. He's playing as a veteran QB should. We need to get more pressure on him.
In 20 years following the program and 4 coaching staffs, I can't remember ever seeing so many illegal procedure penalties for lining up wrong. Pulling that TD off the board before the half was huge.
