Pretty rough look for Sac to make such a large announcement this week likely to catch the eyes of the PAC or MW and immediately get bodied by a (currently) unranked NAU.
This is the unintended result of the BIG announcement by sac over the new hornet stadium project and the intention for sac to get into the PAC-X. Way too much hoopla. This took the air out of the stadium (sorry for the bad pun) for the poor hornets and they got crushed by an unranked team NAU. Not to say sac still isn’t a very good team, but there are a lot of unanswered questions here about the funding of the stadium and also the strength of the team. I do hope they get the funding for this project because the present hornets stadium is simply unsafe. I haven’t been there in years.
I am hoping not so they don't go anywhere without the Ags.
Losing at NAU was not on my bingo card. Was the elevation an issue?
They still have a favorable schedule with no Idaho or Montana. Only @MSU is a clear loss for them on paper. But this probably keeps them from being a top seed if they have 2 losses.
I still can't get over how brutal the Ags schedule is. They basically have to win vs Sac or the Montanas to get in. Montana in Nov is a major advantage for the Grizz.
I can't believe Eastern is 1-4, they look so explosive offensively, I guess their defense just isn't doing much for them giving up at least 27 points a game and losing at home to Drake. Granted, Drake isn't a terrible team, but that should've been a home win for the Eagles.
It's alright though, things get a little easier these next few weeks for Eastern: @ Sac, vs Davis, @ Idaho, vs. Montana State ...
Weber State (2-3) @ Montana (4-1)
Northern Colorado (0-5) @ Montana State (5-0)
Northern Arizona (3-2) @ Idaho (3-2)
Idaho State (2-3) @ Cal Poly (2-2)
Jack at Vandals has to be the game of the week for the Big Sky. It'll be interesting to see how Idaho bounces back against a team that just boomed the Hornets.
I had the same thought when i saw that match up. Northern Arizona has such a home game advantage with the altitude when the games are there. This one is in Moscow.
