Based on the weather forecast, ticket sales to date, and the fact that going to the game is part of the student dorm orientation, I expect a sell-out crowd (15,000) on Saturday.
Should be a great college football environment to experience.
FYI, the last home game attendance was OK considering the students were not back in school (reported attendance of 8,743).
True, especially since it sounds like his backup was missing last week.
There were some significant real-time lineup adjustments being made just so we'd make it through the game. DL was decimated, so we were featuring some LB/DB heavy lineups more and more as the game wore on. A fact the SUU noticed and exploited with their power running.
Being at home helps -> we can suit up just about everyone and uses some solid freshmen without burning the redshirt status.
Following up on who the freshman defensive.linemen who are likely to play are.
There are two freshmen defensive linemen:
Rayne Mayo.Jr...Listed originally as 6'2" 285,.now on the roster 320lbs so likely is a nose tackle. We know Amone was playing.with his arms taped due to injury.. Toki also may have been injured. He went down after being run into by the running back. He played after that but I think his last play may have been the touchdown SUU scored to bring them within 4. Rayne's parents have Quam roots. We have a tradition here of big Pacific Islander Nose Tackles.
The other Freshman DL is Jake Williams 6'3" 295 lbs. Interesting that he's out of the high school Stacey Dobbins attended before transferring to Bosco, and redshift freshman offensive lineman Souriolle also went to that school, Chaparral in Temecula.
