Honestly, there are so many players, without a massive, massive network of scouts and input people, it's not surprising they have the scrape the barrel for information on all kinds of prospects -- especially at the FCS lower/mid tier FBS level.

Isn't that how we got Doss, he missed his junior year of HS?

Yes it is hard but they pretend to do it.
If missing players was the extent of their failure it is excusable, but once they have players in their database, the minimum they should do is match the signees to schools and they didn’t do that.

247 has it's flaws for sure, but in terms of compiling data (not so much ranking prospects) it's the best option that FCS football has at the moment. As I've mentioned previously, I only include the star rankings for fun. The system is almost meaningless when looking at the guys in the 3 star and lower range which is why I find it funny that some teams at the FCS level are using that system to claim top 5 or whatever recruiting class.

    2 new LB commits

Local kid CJ Millican made no tweet about committing, but updated his profile to say UCD LB

and the 2nd is a transfer from Saddleback College, Tristan McMurry

    He's mature. Saddleback:

"McMurry (6'0, 225) played in all 10 games this past season, finishing second on the team with 57 tackles. He was also tied for second in sacks (4.0) and tied for third in tackles-for-loss (5.5). McMurry played in 19 games the past two season, totaling 75 tackles.

"Previous to Saddleback, McMurry was at Trinity Valley College (TX) where he focused on academics. Previous to TVCC, McMurry lettered in football at Murrieta Mesa High School before graduating in 2021. While at MMHS, he graduated with honors and set the school record for tackles in a game (18)."

Rating were removed by 247 after his injury in the 3rd game of his junior season and lack of going to camps to showcase. Of note he did recieve D1 offers while injured and continued to have attention from FCS and FBS schools throughout his recovery period. Luckily he was able to return at full capacity his senior year

Maybe some of you knew this but it was news to me as I don’t follow NFL.
Damon Wrighster‘s father George is a former Oregon tight end drafted #104 who played six seasons in the NFL for Jacksonville.
