Lots oflocal bias in that list, and its just a reflection of how they looked so far this year.
I think people touting weber base it all on the Cal game. Cal is not as good as San Diego State.
We had some moments in the SDSU game but did not put up the yardage Weber did against Cal. But what does that mean? Not much. PSU was even better against OSU and that foretold nothing.
Cal apparently couldn't get pressure on qb. That's worrisome. But they won't surprise us as they did Cal.
Our FCS record of wins over San Diego and Portland State is is much more impressive than their win over sac state. Montana- western doesn't count.

Many people on AGS and elsewhere picking Weber to beat us. I love it.

To me, this one is a toss up. Last week at Portland State showed that either we are really good, or something happened to PSU (didn't show up, uninspired, wrong choice at QB).
We've got a tough schedule and the Ags are bound to hit some bumps in the road, but I'm feeling pretty damn good about our Ags.

The motivated, confident, and well-coached Aggies beat Weber State 34-24 and catapult into the FCS Top-25.

I agree, cautious optimism. It would have been a different game w/o 2 blocked punts. ... did they underestimate us after 2 solid outings against FBS teams? Were they also lulled into complacency because they have handlled us so many years?

Confidence and Momentum are wonderful things! Having 3 studs coaching offense doesn't hurt either!

The home field advantage is huge in this game. Part of it is the altitude. They are at 4300', while not in the stratosphere, towards the end of the game it will give their athletes who are acclimated to it an advantage. I hope coach has some O2 on the sidelines to expedite recovery. There are other physiologic processes at play as well.

Biggest game of the season so far. Outside of SDSU this will be our toughest opponent and also first game of conference play!

Agree...this one is going to tell us a lot.

So far, I am very pleasantly surprised ... not sure how much we should attribute to luck or skill in landing Maier, but it goes deeper than that ... the young men look happy and energized.

A victory today would be friggin Uuuuugggee!!!

Maier is already showing the skill set to be an old school great Aggie QB. He's accurate, makes good decisions, and most all is calm, cool, and collected. I know we only have 3 games worth of data on him, but he just has the look of a stellar QB.

This game is going to be interesting.

PSU played two FBS schools tough and didn't show up for the Aggie game. I watched some of the Cal vs Weber St. game and the Weber St. that showed up for Sac St. game wasn't the same intense team that Cal struggled with.

I think the team that plays 4 quarters of football will win this one.
