Son and I went hiking several miles on a mountain just outside of Moscow and as a reward, took my 7 year old for ice cream at a really great shop in downtown after. There were some fans watching the game on their phones and the ice cream scooper brought up the Vandals and got to talk some Vandals/FCS/Cougars football. There's certainly hype in Moscow right now.
Montana State handling Weber in first half. 20-0 at half despite 2 missed field goals. Chambers looking like the guy that dominated the Ags last year. Chambers is a better passer than Mellot and is a beastly runner to boot.
I think that's the most interesting game of the week. I think EWU might surprise some folks. Of course, it nearly makes me go blind watching any game at EWU on that horribly ugly, red carpet!
Idaho and EWU are tied at 21 at the half in a great football game.
EWU has used their 2nd and 3rd string QB's and they've both been effective. Their 3rd string QB is only 5'9 and 175 but he broke 3 tackles and scored on a long TD run. Both teams are willing to gamble and have converted 4th downs on their own 29 line lines.
As much as I don't care for Aaron Best for running up the score against us in the past, I give hime credit, the man can coach and recruit.
Sac made a pick in the end zone on a 12 yard pass by NAU with 1:34 seconds with Sac ahead 31-28. Then Sac took an intentional safety and won the game 31-30. NAU converted several 4th downs on their last drive and had a first down on Sac's 5 before Sac's corner made a great tackle for 7 yard loss and then Sac made the interception in the end zone.
