I must admit that i did not think he would fit with the Davis persona - not that i object, but he is a nonon-sense kind of guy. Now i cant wait to see wwho the assistances are. That was fast!
On the other -- Ron Gould possibly needing to go was not exactly a hard thing for Blue to figure out midway through this season, or even at the start of it. And if Blue realized at some point that it would be more likely than not that he would need to procure a new coach on short notice by the season's end, then Hawkins might have gotten a heads-up call weeks ago.
There's a very interesting split of opinions about this hiring on twitter. A lot of people saying it's a great hiring, followed by Colorado fans saying it's an awful hiring. Only time will tell, but I think Coach Hawk has wanted this position real bad.
Damn..I go away from the forum for a couple of hours to watch some basketball, check back in and BOOM!...BIG BREAKING NEWS...feels like I'm the last one to the party! Wow...Blue is not wasting any time getting things done.
I'm excited! We get a former Aggie who transformed Boise to greatness. Welcome home Hawk!!
