What?? You didn’t like our nasty little room with all the spit on the funky woo walls?? First weight room…then something better that we thought was the Taj Mahal!!! Glad they have something much nicer/safer… now.. how bout a decent/safe track?? Coach Dee
Track should be the next in line. The bleachers are gone and the track has rough and damaged patches.
As for the new room weight room, thanks for Bruce Edwards and all who made such a wonderful gift for the athletes!
Looks like they have 12 training tables, 8 tape stations, pool/hydro rehab immersions...with doors that go right out onto the bermuda grass practice field.
First class, and these pics obviously cover the training rooms and the weight room, but there were 2 or 3 wings of offices and other space that we didn't even visit. There are multiple common areas, and a lot of study spots as well.
Absolutely, the amenities and location are standard with big football programs, and the resources it provides athletically and academically coupled with its proximity are a massive benefit for any Aggie student athlete, but especially those spending their time down on La Rue and Hutchison.
Of note as well, the 16,000 square feet of the Bob Foster Team Center was also renovated.
Was the point of the Team Center renovation to expand locker room space to take up where the coaches offices used to be? Or is it split now where the away locker rooms are in the BFTC and the home locker rooms are in the EFAC?
I seem to remember there basically wasn't enough space for two full sets of locker rooms before; I'm guessing that was one of the goals of the renovation either way.
