- If there was an option to turn off commentary while keeping game sound that would have happened during the first drive. These guys are painfully obnoxious.
- The offensive line started very sloppy, but pulled it together on the last drive and gave Hastings at least some time in the pocket.
- Hastings has been very accurate. Only 1 incompletion according to ESPN, but a lot of the passes didn't seem super impactful.
- The defense only allowed a TD in the half. I can live with that.
- I have to wonder what the deal with Rodrigues is. I'm not sold on him as THE guy, but if he isn't injured you have to question what happened.
- Gilliam only 24 yards on 11 carries.
I wonder if ESPN hires an ad hoc crew to televise these games. The commentators are not exactly first rate and the technical crew seems to be minimally proficient with the camera going out of focus from time to time, the camera panning in and out at odd moments and the replays, while possible, are not shown for key plays.
only 185 yards of offense on Cal Poly in half is not good. Their secondary has been porous this year, but Ags seem to want to throw only 5 yard swing passes. Last drive opened things up but probably had to due to limited time.
I know it’s harder than it used to be because of everyone’s leg strength and the inability to put old fashioned hits on guys, but every play they go five yards after contact.
