We may be up by 16 but that was not a very good half of basketball by the Aggies. Fullerton is completely outmanned by the Aggies and is shooting 17% but managed to stay within single digits for most of the half. Our lead is largely due to how poor the Titans are shooting. We'd be in trouble if we were playing one of the top seeds.
Have you heard of the Elam Ending? They used it in the ASG the last couple years and have used it in The Basketball Tournament as well. It's great.
In TBT, they play the first 3 1/2 quarters like normal and then with 5 minutes left, they turn the clock off. They add a certain number of points to the winning teams score and that's the target score. Then the first to reach that score wins. So it pretty much eliminates fouling at the end. Obviously a blowout is still going to be a blowout but close games are way better that way.
61-54 final, Aggies win! (at least I think it's final...might be another clown invasion...stat tracker sitting at 00:00 in teh 4Q)
Hall with a 20/10 double double (plus a couple assists). Stobbart in a pack of players with high single digit scoring, plus a handful of rebounds and three more blocks. 12 assists on 18 FG, overall for the Aggies, which is Davis basketball.
As mentioned previously, Trpcic did not have a good day, responsible for half of the teams turnovers. :grimace:
Sluggish offense...too often a step slow on defense...subpar FT shooting...and we still win...perfect example of "survive and advance" but the Ags will need to play much, much better to continue to advance...
