ESPN has already posted the CSUB v. UCD game on its site. They're giving the Roadrunners a 73.2% chance of beating the Ags. I have to note that the Aggies have played only one other team in the other four top BW conference schools this season, UCSB. All the others have been against the lowest seeds, against whom we've gone 6-2.

I forgot to mention that the game will be on ESPN3.

I watched a few minutes of Bakersfield v irvine and UCSB. They looked athletic and long. Didn’t shoot lights out in the small sample size I caught. This is a pretty tough matchup.

Bake is always athletic and long and they have quickness as well. They'll be a tough match-up for the Ags.

#9 LB State kicked off the men's tournament by routing #8 CSUN 86-63. The 49ers led by 20 at the half 46-26 and held the Matadors to 29% shooting for the game. LB will now play #1 UCSB at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

All three BW games today (2 men’s and 1 women’s) all went to the lower seed. Probably means nothing but it is interesting.

LB State vs UCSB is underway. LB dismissed their leading scorer, Michael Carter, from the team just before the tournament and now Joe Hampton just went out with a knee injury. Tough breaks for the 49ers...

Were there a reason or speculation for dismissing their leading scorer?

Feels like SB is just a few possessions away from blowing this open. Beach is playing well, especially short handed, but I thinks it’s just a matter of time.

It was an ugly injury. A UCSB player fell heavily intro the back off his knee.

Yeah I wouldn’t have called that flagrant. Seemed like the beach player was just hustling for the ball.

The top 4 seeds make it to the semis with Riverside's 62-52 win over Hawaii. I think the seeding is accurate from what I've seen so far. UCSB has the most talent so the Ags will need to play exceptionally well to have a chance for the upset.

I guess I’m rooting for Irvine tonight. I don’t care for Pasternik at all. Irvine seems to do things more in line with us.

I don't know much about Pasternik nor the Irvine coach. Can someone give a one paragraph summary?

Pasternack came to USCB from Arizona; he was there for their first round of NCAA issues. He seems very mouthy on the sidelines, and interactions with our coaches and players has been heated. They start 4 D1 transfers, something that just rubs me wrong

Russ Turner at Irvine was a Cal guy. Very intense; actually fun to watch on the sidelines. He and Les have had words, which seems to come with the intensity of the rivalry. He seemed set to move on to bigger things a couple years back when they tore through the Big West and won 2 NCAA games; then it came out he was riding an Oregon player named King by calling him Queen throughout the game. That got national negative attention and ut a momentary pause in his career path.
