Haven't learned how to link to news articles yet on the phone, but here are two of note.
The LA Times title referred to an ugly Big West championship game, while the AP story referred to us as an agricultural school where the 'Big Picture' will be nationwide attention the next few days. Awesome.
For those people who are obsessed with bracketology, I like going to this web page as well as clicking on the other bracketologist's links on that page;
Congrats to UC Davis, Coach Les and Kyle Vogt. There are at least a few Bradley Fans who follow you guys regularly and could not be happier to see you make it into the dance. Good luck in the tourney. These moments don't come along often enough-cherish them and make some big program go home early.
Hey BGA. That's me on the right with my son on the left. We started the season going to the 3 games in Santa Clara, the road games at the Golden One and Cal, almost all the home games and now the championship BWT. Amazing journey!!
Just finished watching the game. I still can't put my head around the idea that our team will be playing in the ncaa tournament.
Love the way this team plays.
Hope our first game is in Dayton because that will be a game we can win.
USA Today has Ags in a play-in game against New Orleans for a 16 seed, with the winner to play Duke.
As an aside, why aren't all the play-ins for a 16 seed? Hardly fair to lose a play-in for a 11 or 12 and go home while several teams seeded lower get more rest and get to play on Thursday or Friday. I'm going to guess money and getting a few more people in the seats and motels in Dayton.
“Couldn’t be more excited for this group of young men who have been a joy to coach, who have allowed us to push them, to challenge them. These guys, for these three games, were dominant for these three games. We weren’t always pretty offensively, but our defense won. Couldn’t be more proud. Defense is underrated, overlooked. But, they brought their hard-hat everyday.”
More great post-game comments from Coach Les, Chima, Brynton and UCI Coach Turner:
It doesn't matter to me who the Ags play as long as they play hard and up to their abilities. I think they can stick with anyone. Not counting on a win, but it would be nice if they can make it close. This team has a lot of heart and they certainly deserved to win this game. Congratulations to Coach Les and all of the players for making Aggie Nation proud.
Did anyone else note Coach Les saying that the blowout loss to UCI was to sest them up for last night? He was kidding of course, but that thought had occurred to me: that the Anteaters would be overconfident.
