I’m in my 70’s and just had meniscus surgery 3 months ago and I am 100% fine now. It is a very minor outpatient arthroscopic procedure that takes about 30 minutes. Great signing and he will be a great RB for us. Big and fast. No worries on that injury.
Wow. These are very big guys. 310-320 range. Mermea seems very astute and acts like an Aggie. Schasa is probably bigger, but no interview or size on record that I can see. So, I dont know how we are now getting these guys now. I hope the Tucker episode wont effect this. We will see.
Looks like Mermea went to high school with Jaylin White, one of our DB’s. So maybe Jaylin talked up UCD and then Mermea convinced his teammate. Maybe using the arguments mentioned by movielover!!
San Diego Union: "According to the Battle Prep West website, Gibbons is a combination of speed and power.
His report reads: “Big-play, hard-hitting safety. Flies around the field. Excellent against the run.”
Gibbons, who runs a speedy 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash, had 113 tackles, 81 solos, 10 tackles for losses and an interception for the Saints last season."
The UC Davis-commit racked up quite a stat line as a senior for the 11-1 Eagles: 104 tackles, 35 TFLs, and 20 sacks. He was the Canyon League’s Defensive Lineman of the Year.
Luka Sarac is a 6’2” 215 DE.
***Sorry did not see him on the commit list before posting, but now see he is on the list as a PWO.
No worries on not seeing it listed, Stang! Always appreciate others looking for information. Honestly, Sarac is one of the guys I'm surprised didn't pick up more offers. I guess you have to look at quality of opponent, defensive schemes, etc when looking at stats... but 20 sacks in a season is something else.
That's good enough for me. I added him to the list. Kind of strange that neither Peyton nor his father posted anything about the signing itself on twitter. I suppose we will find out in a couple of weeks for sure.
I don’t want to get paranoid, but can we hang on to Ambagsheer? He had a lot of interest and he is a beast. Now only a verbal commit so I think he could change his mind.
Ambagtsheer signed during the December signing period, so we're in the clear for now. I agree with the sentiment though. I'm not sure how we landed this kid. He's a legit Pac-12 caliber player.
Suirong Cao was 3 sport guy, football, track & wrestling, 4.0 GPA. See link to Hudl. Video highlights show him being aggressive and knocking guys down on their back as offensive lineman, although many were pretty small. Played both offensive and defensive lineman in high school, but looks like he would be mainly an offensive lineman. Seems like a good kid.
