    Rain, on Oregon? s/

Just one game at a time. Would be nice to see #2 & #3 QB get time.

Well , agreed, one game at a time. But the next “game” is a bye :).

Whose going to Portland? Portland Aggie, are we going to see you at the tailgate?

Going in Saturday morning. We'll be making our way out to Hillsboro thereafter

Our box will be there (5 total). We’re coming in Saturday staying a couple extra days. I know of a couple of my old teammates who will be there

As Dr. Mike mentioned in another thread, the forecast has been all over the map. But right they're calling for rain Sunday.
We leave Friday early afternoon. Will be at the CAAA/Team Aggie tailgate. Does anyone know if there is a gathering Friday night? Sometimes they have one at the team hotel.

I'd reach out to Rob about Friday. Since this is a charter there might be more department folk traveling, so they can organize at least a no-host thing (by the way, the CAAA looks to be no-host? might have to BYOB). My weather underground for Hillsboro now shows 10% chance on Saturday, with 0.06" forecast. Sunday/Monday rain will effect our site seeing plans, but i think there is a nearby Indian Casino for my wife where its dry inside!

Fun to speculate where we would be this year if we still had J. Kelly in our backfield. He is now the PAC 12 leading rusher for UCLA (105 yds per game) and has contributed mightily to UCLAs current win streak. I guess we should be glad we had for awhile. He was fun to watch.

It will be Vikings Senior Night. And they've faced several pass-heavy teams, so they should be dialed in.

I think if you've heard one of Hawks news conferences you've heard them all, lol. He is careful not to give the opposing team any locker room material and keeps details tight.

This picture was a tweet by Mark Speckman. He hosted a dinner for the RBs. I hope they are all healthy and ready to rumble!

Our emergency backup RB was a DB last game. He got hurt on the second half kickoff. Not sure who was next. Harris WAS the emergency up at SUU; he got hurt at practice. Between drills. Yep that kind of year

Are we back to Gould-era injury hold-back criteria ... that was reportedly very unfair.

    Hawk quote from the Enterprise:

“If we are able to have some success down the stretch, we’re definitely a playoff team, given who we’ve played and how we’ve played,” Hawkins said. “It’s not a huge point of emphasis, but we do make our players aware of the calendar and the possibilities and the things they need to pay attention to. We’d be remiss if we didn’t.”

Right now we need to beat PSU. Period.
  • AggieFinn

We've got two road games, one against a possible playoff team (PSU is stretching it) the other against a definite playoff team in Sac, and a home game against another playoff team.

The meatier part of our schedule has played out the same way -- time to win some of these games or fade into the off-season. I know we're banged up, this comes down to coaching, focus, energy, execution and leadership. Jake can take this team into the playoffs, but it's going to be very difficult.

Here's s big question. Do we redshirt Tehran Thomas, if he still has that option?

I vote yes. Use Gilliam, healthy backups, and pass, pass, pass.

If we are going to pass as usual, we’ve got to do something to protect Maier. He has really been getting beat up the last several games. Roll out, play option? Just a fan here without any real life football experience, but I do know the kid needs more time

If we're on the subject of passing, how many receivers are injured? Crawford hasn't played in last three games, Kraft only played in the first 2 games. Spencer? Simkins? Wasn't Harrell hurt at some point? Are the the receivers in that much better shape than the running backs? Same as @agalum, zero football experience here, just a fan.

We have a lot of receivers on our roster, so while we lost a few preferred targets, we have options. Orlando Ornelas has really studded out as a true Frosh, and RF Babbs is another threat. Where we get into tougher calculus, are we looking to redshirt Ornelas or TE Frosh stud Blake Thorpe?

AgAlum, I'm with you, rolling out would seem to be an option, but we're in the cheap seats.

My father just passed so I’m going to miss the game in my own backyard. Let’s hope we can win one for him this weekend! Enjoy, guys!
