UNI Scores to close to 18-14. UNI not able to run much but have some big receivers getting back shoulder and improvised throws. 2:35 to go first half. Snow on the ground outside Fargo dome.

UND self-destructed on an early 2nd quarter drive. 4 penalties plus a fumbled snap when Ketteringham wasn’t ready for snap. They were inside ISU 20 when the comedy of errors commenced. Ketteringham did not show much poise. Reminded me of last week when he was jawing with his own fans after he retreated near his end zone on a pass rush.

Montana State just went for it on 4th and 2 on their own 43, and put FIVE wide receivers on the left sideline. Sac blew it up, and threatening!

Sac State just scores in about 3 or 4 plays?!

    6:50 Sac up 7-0. Wow!

MSU there ball up for INT inside Sac 20 on first drive. I think Sac is going to win this game.

Sac QB 17 yard keeper TD.

7-7 2:19, Q1. An MSU RB took a pop at the LOS, and then rambled for a 35 yard gain.

Sac is real. Frosh defensive player made a big play, and then a frosh TE caught a 21 yard pass on 4th and 7 (poor kicking game).

MSU cant stop Sac. Trouble is Sac is converting on 3rd downs (and 4th downs). Too many downs to hold them.

Sac kicking AWFUL! Boing off uprights on extra point. They won’t need field goals or even extra points at this rate.

27-14 Sac, plenty of time left for MSU.

Causeway Classic will be epic. Their HC will be a hot commodity if their ride continues. What year is their QB?

Sac is the real deal. It's remarkable how their new coach has turned this program into a playoff contender in his first year. Wow...

Sac just stopped MSU on 4 tries from the 4 yard line. They're definitely a Big Sky Champion contender.

MSU has trouble at QB. They don’t know who to play. Half the time reverting to Anderson, who is a heck of an athlete but not a qb. Difference in QB play in the game was dramatic.

I must be missing something. According to up to date Big Sky standings, UC Davis is 1-2, but they've only played two conference games: Montana and Cal Poly. Neither North Dakota nor North Dakota State are in the Big Sky. What other Big Sky team did they lose? Cal?

UND counts for our big sky standings, as they're transitioning from the Big Sky to the MVFC.

Here are the rankings of all Division I teams on our schedule after 7 Games:

Ranking - School - (Previous Week)

    26 North Dakota State (30)
    36 California (39)
    75 Montana (79)
    99 Sacramento State (118)
    104 Weber State (99)
    120 UC Davis (125)
    126 Montana State (108)
    136 North Dakota (122)
    140 Portland State (160)
    157 Cal Poly (155)
    163 San Diego (165)
    197 Southern Utah (208)
    218 Lehigh (216)

    Interesting tidbits:
Portland State moved up 20 spots after beating Idaho 24 to 0.
UC Davis has moved from #13 to #11 for all of FCS.
Sacramento State is currently favored to beat us.

Next up is at #197 Southern Utah.
Massey predicts an 84% chance of winning with a score of 41 to 27.

South Dakota State at Youngstown State was an interesting game. Midway into 3rd quarter looked like YSU was going to win. Then SDSU did what good teams do - no panic and great defense. 3 interceptions and then started to wear down YSUs d-line with their big defensive line. SDSU won going away. I don’t think Gibbs is as good as Christien, but he is solid. SDSU plays NDSU in Brookings in 2 weeks. Should be interesting. YSU announcers think YSU will be in playoffs and maybe they will, but they did lose to UNI (who were stomped by NDSU) the game before this one and other than the last 2 games YSU hadn’t really played anybody. They have remaining games with NDSU, South Dakota and Illinois state. My gut feeling is that besides NDSU and SDSU, UNI and South Dakota will make playoffs from MVFC and YSU will fade out.
