Check out this petition from Change.org:

After the formation of the new UC Davis marching band, the UC Davis administration has suddenly decided that the members of the new band may not perform in public until there is a faculty director hired. The administration is now saying that we will not be allowed to support our football team during their 2019-2020 season. Our student directors and drum majors have been trained for two or more years for these performances. The football shows that they have already written are ready to be practiced and performed. In addition, we encourage the presence of a career Campus Recreation representative to oversee our actions. Please sign this petition to help us change the university's mind and allow us to support both our football team, our school, and our community. Thank you for your consideration.

I signed up and chipped in. It's embarrassing to have such a great college football team with no college marching band to support it.

Change poster Amirah Tulloch of Davis:

"The band has thus far complied with every change arranged to and agreed upon by Student Affairs and Campus Rec. We were informed that the band, in doing so, would be able to continue and play under their set parameters. Now, as an oversight body, they will not let us perform due to the lack of oversight. This reeks of unfairness in the face of our patience and compliance, and we hope the University will understand our position and will create a solution that allows us to do what they have promised to let us do."

"Joan Leitao, A good musical volunteer instructor can hold down the fort until a faculty director is hired. Let them March"

Lauren Dunlap: "A proud CAMB alum and proud UCD engineering school alum who is not so proud of the school administrators right now. Shift your mindset to that of a solution that allows music and support for your athletes and important school spirit. Wonder if this could be more expeditiously resolved if the teams refused to compete without their Aggie Band-Uh?"

Jj Strom: "We want to work with the university, we're completely willing to change, and the administrators making these decisions won't even meet with us."

Don't forget to leave a comment on the video the University has for Emily Galindo; they occasionally delete posts and people need to hear what we think: https://www.facebook.com/13917075214/posts/10161938980075215?sfns=mo

It may also be beneficial to make some of the suits aware of any frustrations during the game. 10,000 people (okay, less with Griz fans) can make a loud ruckus.....

Making the university aware that it's not just us eeeeevillll band alumni that are upset at this situation would be good. Particularly if you're a donor. Even more particularly if you're a significant donor. ;)
