Great accolades for the program, but I think I would rather be rated lower down the list and prove them wrong.

The element of surprise only lasts a game or two, until the other team looks at film. If we go into the season ranked high and can justify it with our record we will be higher seeded come playoff time. The Northern Iowa coach says home games are the key in the playoffs so you don’t have to play in miserable weather. We learned that ourselves last year.

Being an underdog and surprising opponents is fun, but I don't mind embracing a culture of winning again at UC Davis. Back in the D2 days teams used to dread playing Davis because they knew they were going to get stomped. That's how NDSU is right now in FCS and I really wouldn't mind Davis being there as well.

A lot of that was the mediocre FWC. The Bison didn't look very intimidated.

LOL. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed watching the Ags stomp Montana on their home field last year. Made me regret not going to the game. I just never have liked Hauck....part of it glossing over the behavioral issues of his teams.
