Don't see LL as a kid who's going to handle the passing necessary for this offense, however, Maier is a different kind of QB - certainly adapting the system for a more run-centric QB is a possibility. Regardless, having LL in the slot, running motion or in the backfield could be a huge weapon...and, good for him, he'll be at a World Class University studying his butt off and learning something besides football as well!
Larison's brother played under Moroski at the upstart College of Idaho program...certainly stronger Aggie ties couldn't be present up in the Gem State! So glad we don't have to play against him as a Vandal. #AggieUp#Shredville
Not holding my breath on Masui, but he'd get every opportunity to shine here in Davis. Would be a Big Sky standout if he continues to work...with strong prospects for the next level. The NFL loves Sacks...
Hahaha.. The thing that sucks the most to me is how as we get older our spare tire migrates from the trunk of our car to our waists! The only six pack I have now is the one that's always in the frig!
One of the Aggie coaches was on campus at Cardinal Newman HS today. CNHS is the closest thing the North Coast has to a football power house and has a very talented group of seniors, especially on offense. This is the school that produced Aggie QB Randy White.
We are certainly making a lot of offers early and quite a few are 3 star rated athletes. I don't put much value in the star ratings but it does indicate that we are recruiting with confidence and are going head to head with programs like the Montanas and Nevada etc.
2018 will be old news by the time most recruits commit. How we do in 2019 will have more weight. But I’m not sure record is as important as one would think, Kids are weighing offers from a varied bunch of schools, there are a lot of factors. Schools are different.
Interesting tidbit I found about Rening. He played 7 on 7 with incoming QB Trent Tompkins. Nice to already have a certain level of chemistry coming in to college ball. Possible lethal combo of the future. Can't wait to see how he performs after a junior season where he had 2600+ all purpose yards and 32 touchdowns.
