i heard this last week; i believe I heard that she is moving on to the US national team. Sounded like a big surprise/disappointment she is leaving.

New coach: Tracy Hamm (no relation to Mia). Cal alumna, most recently coached at SFSU.

People in Santa Rosa (where she coached at the local JC) say she is absolutely an outstanding coach. Her record at SF State is also excellent. Good call by AD Blue.

And now we learn that she is a celebrity as well playing herself in the award winning movie “Coach, the Movie.” Her life story is truly remarkable as reported by the UC Davis Athletics website yesterday. The movie is basically the story of how she obtained her “A” coaching license by overcoming amazing odds and outright discrimination by US Soccer. This is a very charismatic person and we are lucky to get her. AD Blue is to be commended for landing her.
