DAVIS, Calif. - Due to uncertainty regarding air quality in Davis on Saturday, this year's Causeway Classic football game between UC Davis and Sacramento State will relocate to Mackay Stadium, located on campus at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. PT.

Causeway Classic info: if you already purchased a ticket they will be honored at the game. Free parking is offered at the West Stadium garage. Students are free with a valid ID. Glass-less outside food and drinks are welcome. Enter through Gate 1 which opens at 11a. #GoAgs

What a strange week it has been. I wonder how all that has taken place and the change of venues will affect the teams. I know that it must be disappointing for our seniors to not get to be honored and end their Aggie careers in front of a packed house on their home field. We need to be mentally ready. Sac would like nothing better throw a brick into our playoff chances.

I expect a sluggish start since practice this week was off (probably a little more for them) A healthy Thomson makes their offense dangerous. Neither team will have crowd emotion to help/hurt them. I’m kinda expecting a weird game

Are there any good places to stay in Reno that are smoke free? My wife and I avoid anyplace that allows smoking and I don't want to trade fire smoke for cigarette smoke either!

there is a place called Whitney peaks (or close to that) that is smoke free. No casino. Downtown. Never stayed

Thanks Mike, I saw that the Courtyard Riverfront is entirely smoke free also. We're going to drive up in the morning with some friends and are debating staying overnight or just driving home or maybe even staying in the Truckee area.

Its the casinos that are smokey. I always get a smoke free room. On the few occasions that i detect a smoke residue in the room, i just ask them to move me. Or light up, lol.

Great idea. Players aside, their supportive families deserve to see their sons recognized. I would hope a playoff game would pack the house. Should be on the road headed home when the announcement is made.

It will be interesting to see how many “Renoans” will show up at the game. A perfect chance to recruit kids from Nevada? :chin:

I have heard that they are going--don't know how many, but I am hoping that it's the full band. They have seniors to honor, as well.

Agreed, so why with a much better team did we lose to them last year?? Not talent because we dominated in the second half.
I don’t know if we gained so much yardage running in the second half because they were giving us the run because of their lead or if they just couldn’t defend it. Their record this year points to the later.

no D last year. We were missing a couple guys, and one of our key guys (don’t remember who) was out in first half with carry over spearing call. With him back, D settled and we were able to make the comeback.
