The Daily Missoulian has a 16-page ‘Gameday’ insert in the paper today. In depth analysis of the teams, short bios of 8 Ags with their pictures, depth charts, etc. We’re not in California! Clear skies, the feel of fall in the air!
Four hours before kickoff. Band warming up. Tailgating getting started. This place will be rocking. Aggies have to get off to fast start to keep the crowd from becoming big factor. Perfect day for Aggies to take the national stage.
From reading Egriz forums it looks like Huack is running a 3-3-5 nickel defense but there's concerns about the experience of their secondary. If their DBs aren't up to a challenge and their DL isn't pressuring Maier then an extra safety might not help them that much. Hopefully Hawk airs it out early and forces them into skill tests against Doss, Harrell, Preece, and friends. Go Aggies!
The Griz can get after the passer, we gotta get some good running in today to open up those throwing lanes.
Backs need to fight for that 2nd and 5 vs. the 2nd and 7.
...and HANG ON TO THAT FOOTBALL. Need to be clean in that turnover department, which includes special teams. Hoping to see some better punting today, the last time we played in a big environment was in Palo Alto, our punting stunk!
I saw that Montana is up there in sacks and that's a little concerning -- but I think the deal is that their LBs are making a lot of the pressure. I hope that means there's some holes for quick 7-10 yard passes up the middle.
Maier's been good at avoiding interceptions but we've had running play, snap, and special teams miscues. Gotta cut down.

I think base, from the Egriz reference (not sure which thread it was in). 3-3-5 is what SDSU runs so my understanding is Huack brought it over when he returned to Montana from San Diego.

The entire print edition of The Bee is something like 34 pages, 10 of which are classifieds and "puff piece" articles devoted to real estate. Scanning the e-print/pdf edition I cannot find a single article on college football at any level.
The print edition of the Saturday Bee now costs $4.00.
I don't want to start an Eastern Washington thread unless it's a week before game time.
However, rumor has it that Gage Gubrud's college career is over. He'll have surgery and get ready for his pro career.
