I need to start flying out to games the Ags can win. Went to Stanford this year and Kal a few years back when Wright was a freshman and had to start at QB. Hoping maybe a playoff game is in east coast but if Ags keep winning only JMU might have home field in a matchup. I really don’t know how the brackets are determined so all conjecture
I love hearing Hawk say that the "sky is the limit" here at UC Davis and that he has the support of Gary May and the UCD administration. I wholeheartedly agree with Carmichael Dave that college football fans in the greater Sacramento area are dying to have a great D1 college team to follow and support. We need to keep winning and growing and be that team.
Cookus is not playing. Hasn’t practiced this week. It’s the two freshman splitting reps. Ags will see a bunch of wildcat looks with Porter. He’ll throw it a little too.
This week at practice, Porter was taking first-string reps at quarterback, working to learn how to throw different route patterns.
“It's unfortunate they don’t have much of a rep base,” Souers said after practice Wednesday. “It’s very difficult to get overly complex or implement any new stuff, so we’re trying to run what we run and run it well.”
“They got the best thrower right now in the country and he’s lighting it up every week,” Souers said. “He’s a guy, again, if you let receivers run loose he’s going to find them and he’ll exploit that. We need to do a great job of technique, we need to do a great job and keep competing because they are going to get yards.”
