I can tell you that the redshirt talent is deep! Hawk is recruiting ballers many with league or state championships under their belts. They’re used to winning but more importantly, know the hard work it takes to be successful.
NAU and Sac are looking pretty bad and it was confirmed earlier today that Gage Gubrud's college career is over... Strong possibility of at least 2 more wins and entirely possible that we win out. Don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves here, but a 10-1 season with the one loss being to Stanford would be an amazing thing to behold.
This was a great, great game to watch and good for the soul. Gut renching first half. Very loud hostile stadium. Bad refs. Montana announcers calling every play for a face mask or a holding call. Down 21-3. Very depressing! Then came the 2d half and the Ags came alive. In five words: they did not give up! We won the game. I love it When actual games prove: it ain’t over till its over. Life is/should be “its not over till its over.” Great job by Hawk to retune this program so quickly. Also great that Chancellor May and wife made it to this game. Is he actually helping the recruiting for our student athletes? I don know but it doesn’t hurt.
coach switched him from strong safety to outside linebacker and as much as it kills him to do it, he’ll be redshirting this year. He’s already started 2 games on special teams and played some outside linebacker. He gets to play 2 more games which is cool!
Tough, scrappy, or dirty? They made tackles, gang tackles, we didn't. Their QB ran the width of their field twice on one play. He broke tackles. My screen is small. Maybe they were jamming receivers, giving an extra jab here or there. All good prep for the playoffs.
I found the announcers next door smarmy, but they gave our team many compliments.
It seems like Doss has a problem going deep this year? More the possession, or in traffic receiver.
