Have to credit our defense with at least getting some stops. Made them punt 6 times, had a 2 picks and a fumble recovery
We to make the field goals and the offense should convert more third and fourth downs.
This is a big win. Its good to win in California. Before this game we heard they were going to dominate.
Now we've changed some opinions about us and FCS.
Some recruits, the smart ones, will choose between us and San Jose, and they'll make a better choice.
If they started the 3rd QB, Aaron?, or TC who was released, they have a better shot. The Spartans made some critical errors.
QB #2 made one of the worst decisions I've ever seen a QB make, to throw a muffed snap out of the end zone? WTF? SWH!. There's 2 points, plus a possession. I believe they also had a few personal foul calls.
No replay, but it looks like their receivers made some amazing catches.
FWIW. Non Video feed. I'm told the SJSU AD didn't want their next opponent to have tape on the Spartans, so she nixed streaming. Even after being informed we would provide the film to anyone who asked for it.
Breakout game for 6'3" Tiger Garcia. 6 tackles, 1 INT. Redshirt Frosh Devon King also has a sack. Erron Duncan led the team in tackles w 10. Bland had 4 tackles and a fumble recovery.
Last night’s game reminded me WAY too much of Poly from last season. A touchdown or 10 points during any of our last drives of the first half would have effectively ended the game. I know it gasses the defense, but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. 35 points in the first 20:06....9 the rest of the way. Credit to SJSU, they may have found their QB (albeit one half of football too late, thanks!).
Very happy with the win, especially in my divided household. Cautiously optimistic that we won’t get absolutely boatraced at The Farm, and hoping that David Shaw forgets about the forward pass again like he did in the 2014 Rose Bowl. Playing $C the previous week may help our cause.
