God forbid we control the length of the game in some other way...nah, gotta keep the networks happy, even if the majority of college ball is played far away from the networks' purview...
I do like that the author came up with several solutions for the problem, instead of just bitching and moaning. :)
Game length has more to do with a bunch of teams throwing the ball on almost every down and less to do with halftime being 20 minutes (or whatever it is).
I can tell you that some of the best college football experiences I have had is going to multiple Rose Bowl games. The games have always been great but one watching the bands perform at halftime is definitely a highlight.
