Currently tied for 3rd in conference, UCD will take on conference-leading UC Irvine tomorrow. The Aggies continue to feature four starters averaging double figures: Ryann Bennett (16.5) ppg, Nya Epps (12.7), Megan Norris (12.2) and Avery Sussex (11.4). Norris paces the Aggies in rebounding at 11.4 rpg, tops in the Big West. Davis averages 71 ppg, while giving up 63.

The Anteaters are at the top of the conference on both offense and defense, averaging 72 ppg, while holding opponents to 57 ppg. Hunter Hernandez is the leading scorer for UCI(19.2 ppg), with with support from Jada Wynn (15.2), both in the Big West’s top 9. Wynn grabs 8 rpg, while Hernandez pulls down 6.

Hernandez is definitely the centerpiece in Irvine’s 1-1 style offense, having been named the Big West Player of the Week 4 time already this season, with Wynn not far behind. The 5’9” senior guard has been on a tear in conference play, scoring 20 or more in all but one game. Slowing down Hernandez and/or Wynn will likely be key to beating the Anteaters, as well as the Aggies getting into their own offensive flow.
