Actor J Luke Wood is seen above in a recent headshot starring as a perpetually upbeat and always scheming university president in acclaimed MTV dramedy series “Sactown 916”. He is pictured below in one of his earlier roles in a Swiffer Wet-Jet commercial. In an IMDB interview, Wood recalled how when he was a student at Sacramento State, rival fans from neighboring UC Davis frequently wore shirts proclaiming “my cleaners got their BA at Sac State”. Later that summer while promoting cleaning products at the State Fair, a talent recruiter for an advertising firm picked him up for a TV campaign. Says Wood, “I knew my degree at Sac State would lead to a career in cleaning but I did not expect it to break out like this!” Noting the voracity with which he could convincingly clean up pet hair, grass stains, and even the toughest messes without breaking eye contact with the camera, MTV cast him for their new series about a public university bringing a bunch of criminal thugs to campus under the guise of athletics to run an underground combat fight club.
