The Aggies have struggled to get wins so far this season and are currently coming off two disappointing, conference loses on the road at Santa Barbara and Cal Poly. The Highlanders have had their struggles as well so the Ags have a good chance to secure their first conference win of the season. They'll have to cut down on the TO's and rebound much better in order for that to happen though.
The Ags will take the win but it was by the skin of their teeth. Surviving would be a more appropriate way to describe this win. The Ags were up 24 with 8 minutes to go in the game and Riverside cut the lead to 2 with under a minute to go. The Highlanders had 17 points off 19 Aggie TO's.
Riverside simply out played and out hustled the Ags the entire 4th quarter. The Aggie coaches can't be happy with that.
Jen kept her second squad in much too long. After that 3rd 3-ball you could watch the energy flow into Riverside. But the Ags made no changes and when the Ags did they were back on their heels. It was an ugly win.
