That was quick. QB Jalen Chatman has committed to Rutgers. Looks like he jumped at the 1st big time offer he got. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he flipped somewhere down the road.

New offer out on 3 star QB Steven Comstock from Covina, CA. True dual-threat QB. Threw for almost 2700 yards, 30 TDs, with 8 INTs. Ran for over 800 yards tacking on 14 TDs. Hold a couple FBS offers and another Big Sky offer (EWU).

We are going hard after QB early in the recruiting season. I'm assuming the coaching staff sees this as a big position of need.

I'm a youngin, but I was there for the O'Sullivan years at least. We need to find another O'Brien, Jones, O'Sullivan, Grieb, Petersen, ect.

Another new offer tonight on another QB. This one is 2 star Carson Baker from Helix High School. Only holds FCS offers right now.

He and Nick Eaton play together. Both will have FBS offers...I've been working on them! Kraft is a great route runner, super quick, but not blazing. Has incredible hands, and blocks like a big guy. Eaton would add an element I haven't seen at Davis, maybe ever, as he is a true outside pass rusher. He's really fast, big, and very dynamic. He will be more like 240 by the time he rolls onto a campus. Also plays slot receiver...yes at his size.

Don't forget Aggie DE Casey Merrill, who had a great NFL career as a DE / pass rush specialist.

He predates me by a long time...lol. I didn't see him since he was on campus almost 20 years before me. Eaton will have other offers. Kraft just got Air Force. I'm hopeful we can keep them.

Rick Mohr was an awfully good pass rusher. He played a couple years with me, just after Merrill. He went on to a very successful career up in Canada (as did a number of guys from that era).

Most recently Petit was solid pass rusher, but he was much more stiff than this kid.

New offer on RB Martell Irby. He sounds very excited by this offer. Rushed for over 1700 yards last season and had 22 TDs.

Another new offer out this night on WR Mozes Mooney. Had over 1000 yards receiving last season and hauled in 17 TDs. His dad was in the Army and he sounded pretty excited about his offer from Army on twitter.

Interesting. He is supposed to be quick for a big guy, and racks up the tackles. He must be one of those "ballers" as Hawk says.

Offer out to sleeper who no longer is, Baraka Beckett of Los Angeles, a 6'4", mobile (my eyes) 280 pound DE/DT. He now has 4 offers, including Hawaii and Cornell. Tapes may be deceiving, I'm not sure what his comp was like. HS - I though I read Palisades somewhere, then LA - Windward somewhere else.

As far as pass rushers are concerned, no one was ever as good as mike wise ever.

I've heard Casey Merrill was a force.

Casey pretty much destroyed Bethune Cookman in the playoffs.
