It doesn't help that we didn't stop a single drive. 10 drives, 10 TDs.

Back at the hotel and enjoying this thread a lot. Sucks that the feed was so bad! Really a roller coaster of a game, especially after dragging the family out to St George and down 7-24 at one point. But the comeback made it worth it.

Temperature was in the 90s but it didn’t really feel that hot. But that’s from a fan who was sitting in the stands and not playing on the field. Still, it did feel like Davis evening temperature so I would imagine the heat shouldn’t have had much of an impact on the team. Humidity wasn’t noticeable.

Proud of the way the team rallied and got it done!

What section do the away fans sit in?
  • Mercer - In-Game Play-By-Play Thread
Yeah or if they really want it in the South then maybe put it in a dome

Ok so then what genius decided Montgomery, AL at this time for this game?
  • @ Mercer to Open 2025
Any watch parties in Davis happening at local restaurants or bars?
  • UC Davis Athletics Joining Mountain West - Football to Follow
I can't see why they wouldn't mention it. Even though it's unspoken, it's pretty obvious what the MWC and UCD are trying to do. It would almost be weirder if the coaches didn't say anything about it. Parents and players will want to know what the program will look like in the next 4-5 years.

The question is not whether the MWC and UCD see a football fit, it's when.

I think it’s alluding to the saying “keep Tahoe blue” / the fact that we too like blue? He could have tagged Kevin Blue for a triple meaning but that would have been two cryptic tweets too many in the last several months

what a cool story! Hopefully he gets to add Frisco, TX to his list of travels next year

  • Aggies to the Mountain West
Last year, the MWC had 6 schools in the NCAA tournament and the Big West had 1. 4 of those schools (BSU, CSU, USU, SDSU) are leaving for the Pac but UNR and UNM aren't. MWC isn't as good this year but it's still a big step up from being in a conference that will get excited for having its autobid not be the 15th or 16th seed in the big dance.
  • Aggies to the Mountain West
It looks like the MWC is preparing itself for the next realignment when it loses more football members. It's probably hoping that when that happens, we'll be ready to move up to FBS.
  • Is there any action on the transfer portal?
I think he doesn't have any eligibility left
  • Hey just found the site! Go Ags!
I had a different username on that one and remember it well. It was still a more pleasant experience than some of the other fan forums out there at the time, a lot of which also used Yuku. Unfortunately a lot of that has not changed at all — big sky and big west boards specifically.

I actually had to go deep into the Yuku AST threads to find the photo of the 2007 horseshoe game I posted in the other thread (about attendance). can confirm it’s still around and a fun blast through the past for anyone who wants to do some reading about Aggie athletics over the years!
  • Most Interesting 2024 Quarterfinal Game
The seeds worked out in a way that gives both UCD and Idaho opportunities for redemption. UCD has a chance this weekend to prove it was more deserving of #4, and if it does that it then gets a second shot (assuming MSU beats Idaho) at handing MSU their first loss of the season. For Idaho, the road to Frisco potentially goes through the only teams it lost to, and on the road again.

It actually is though. I hate the sac state boards with an ad every 5 posts and still cannot for the life of me understand why Any Given Saturday makes a one-post view the default instead of showing all posts in a thread without needing to opt-in to that each time you clear your cookies (and you can only change this setting by switching from mobile view to desktop view).

Meanwhile on AST things are clean, instant-updating, and simple.

Battle for the Golden Horseshoe 2007, in which Ramses Barden and co. destroyed us 28-63 in front of 5+ sections of Aggie Pack. I remember that even the stairs between each section were filled. Back then we stood for the whole game so for this game the stairs were just an extension of each section ... meaning you had each row of students going uninterrupted from the current-day visitor section all the way to the Band-Uh! section.

If only we had the 2007 Aggie Pack for the 2024 football team...
  • Tailgating
yep we got his ticket already. The junior Aggie comment was a reference to the most recent episode where they talk about fielding questions from junior aggies. Thanks for looking out though!
  • FCS Playoffs - Skyline Sports
I enjoy watching your interviews of our team and other coverage of the Big Sky. Plough and Miles both lost their power while they were talking to you so one could say that you're doing a lights out job
