Next step should be to add San Bernadino. In the CCAA days of old the Coyotes used to beat the Roadrunners (Bakersfield).

This should help out baseball's scheduling. That's six fewer non- conference games to schedule.

I have only a rudimentary understanding of football. I don't know what the flock you guys are talking about most of the time. Fly offense- is that where everyone pretends they're Peter Pan, or does someone put a bunch of garbage on the opposing team bench to attract flies and distract the defensive coaches ? I mean you might as well run a mosquito offense while you're at it. Football has so many subtleties. Is this why they have a women's huddle every year, to pass our glossaries of all the football lingo ? There are men who could benefit too !

You know, I saw about 36 players practicing at that fall game, and I can name maybe 28 of them at most (assuming everyone with eligibility remaining returned except for Ryan Steindorf), and that's including the freshman players whose names we've thrown around here (and 2 we haven't) There are going to be a few names on the roster none of us recognize that might make a big impact. I'm assuming they'd be mostly infielders, maybe another catcher.

I was surprised I didn't see Guillermo Salazar play. He's easy to recognize looks like a slugger, and everyone calls him "G" when he's at bat. Wonder if he graduated. Maybe Proaggieguy or Aggiebaseball saw him in one of the other games.

I looked over the schedules for the last six seasons (since UCD joined the Big Sky). The only teams that have played the Aggies each of those years are Cal Poly and SAC State. The hornets have been the last opponent each of those seasons. The teams that have played the fewest times (3- Montana and Idaho State) are on the schedule next year. The ones that have played the most (5- NAU and PSU) probably won't be. And we know one of the ones with 4 ((Weber State) isn't

They are constantly balancing and re- balancing so the most likely candidates to fill the remaining two conference slots are

Montana State, Northern Colorado, and Southern Utah. Since neither MSU nor NC played the Aggies this year and SUU has played each of the last 3, the Thunderbirds are the likely odd ones out.

This means we would play Montana State at home and Northern Colorado in Greeley (based on the last games played. So, 11 games..6 on the road.

Per Idaho State's website (future schedules), the Aggies host them 10/13. Their first game is 9/1 and Davis is week 7. You could probably put placeholders for the weeks you haven't determined yet to make it easier to visualize if you wanted. You know there's at least 1 week before Stanford, 2 between Idaho and Idaho State, and 1 between Montana and EWU.

According to this model you'd have 11 games. Most likely bye week would be the week of 11/3, but it might not be. 9/8 is probably not a bye and a logical landing spot for San Diego.

Sac State hasn't beaten a d1 team yet this year, which makes them easy to overlook. It also makes them dangerous. I'd give the hornets the edge in this game if Marcus Graves weren't out for the season. He's a real catalyst on offense
