Can't read too much into early polls but this does feel like a bit of disrespect towards the Ags considering MSU, Weber, and Eastern seem to be given much more deference for their vs FBS performances. I'm not sure UCD is actually better than 5th in Big Sky at the moment, but certainly has better than the 5th best resume

Voters didn't watch the Sac game I'm assuming

I know I'm hyperbolizing a little but it seems like half the conference can move the ball against FBS defenses. Might make for some great shootouts to determine the conference title

Rainbow track might have been a concern for TV viewing (too busy on screen) but it did have more flair than most college track stadiums.

Big West got an ESPN+ deal this summer though. Looks to me like it will be the same situation as football where most of the non-televised games will be on the subscription service:

I'm not sure whether it was an upset on paper but I'd add the absolute demolition of Montana at Wa-Griz to the list

UC Davis is 2-5 against FBS in the Dan Hawkins era and a whopping 2-1 against non-PAC schools if I'm counting right.

Playcalling is questionable and fouls are unfortunate but in terms of talent this is a legitimately good offense at any level of play.

We've barely seen some of the best skill guys like Tompkins and Crawford either

Frustrating that the things that Tulsa is most noticeably better at (to my untrained eye) are playcalling and execution -- the things we can actually control and (at least here) have been complaints for years

Insert yearly rant how it's inexcusable that Davis isn't the best-disciplined team on the field in every game

I think it'll end up like the other games we've had against middling FBS teams where they'll realize some of their units can beat ours but others won't -- like I remember how SDSU had to abandon the run and just try to get it to their best WRs and how SJSU was running the ball at the end well wen it was too little too late.

Tulsa has talent but I'm thinking they're not good enough that they can stomp a good FCS team at every aspect of the game.

I've made peace with our return team taking bonkers unnecessary risks. It wouldn't be UCD football without it at this point
