I think 69 might have been referring to FERPA, which does cover the release of many education-related pieces of information. It's been a while since I had to deal with it but Wikipedia has a relevant comment (emphasis mine):

Examples of situations affected by FERPA include school employees divulging information to anyone other than the student about the student's grades or behavior, and school work posted on a bulletin board with a grade — Wikipedia

So we maybe won't ever know unless someone from the school leaks it or there are actual criminal charges.

Wait, I am pretty darn sure I went to that in I think 2000. Rail Fair it was called.

It was my reward for learning how to tie my shoes
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
I'm sad I didn't get to see much of the WNIT, but I am still so impressed with this group of athletes.

The same squad (basically) went 5-2 in postseason play over the last two years, with several of those wins being against Power 5 teams. What a magical era of Aggie WBB.

I shouldn't talk like it's over though. Morgan, Nina, the twins, and co. will be out for revenge in the BWCT next year.

What do y'all think happens if Les gets poached? Does Blue start a national search or promote internally?
  • LaRue Softball upgrades begin!
Am I looking at it right that the team building is just sheet metal? That looks rough for afternoon games. I hope there's AC or several good fans in there.

Edit: also I like the lockers with player names on top. Details like that matter for impressing recruits I imagine.

Ugly 30ish seconds by the Ags but time's basically run out for Wyoming
  • A 16 Seed Finally Beats a #1 in the NCAA Tournament
UMBC was also pretty low in KenPom ranking too. Makes me feel validated for honestly believing Davis had a chance against Kansas last year. Truly anything can happen in the tournament.

Commentators were saying that you'd expect the 16v1 games to get closer as the 1-and-done system forces the top teams to integrate new rosters of inexperienced players each year; it's been weird that that there have been fewer close calls recently rather than more.

I got to go to the games at SDSU today and Marshall had a strong showing to upset #4 Wichita State there. They played with a lot of confidence and challenged the Shockers at part of the game, like UMBC did. Seems like the key to pulling off big tourney upsets is to go all-in and hope for a little bit of luck for the shots to go down.

At the beginning of this season I would have guessed Printup was being groomed to inherit the role due to his size and experience but as the year progressed Mooney got the most reps.

I didn't realize Nelson was 6'4" though and Jackson seems like a prototypical 3 in addition to getting reps this season so it's a good point, either one could progress enough to earn the role.

On the subject of basketball withdrawl, you're all welcome to join me on the SDSU bandwagon. Last CA school left in the field other than Fullerton already (yikes!). #3 Trey Kell reminds me very much of a certain other #3 who played for the Aggies, and has been a joy to watch.

Ags will have a very strong lineup next year. I agree Mooney needs to gain consistency but if he can elevate his game and fill Michael's starting spot then TJ, Siler, and Joe will make for a devastating 3-headed attack in the backcourt. Hopefully some of the new guys or redshirts step up too because only 7 guys who currently suit up are coming back.

I was yelling at the TV during some of the fouls. Hopefully my roommate isn't scared.
  • MBB: 2018 NIT Tournament
Irvine also returns basically everyone and they're southern and a little more established, so they'll get the nod most likely. Ags will probably get picked second once again.
  • MBB: 2018 NIT Tournament
What did the Utah coach do? I tuned in just as he was heading to the locker room. (well, taking a detour to yell some more)
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
Also what will the TV situation be like?
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
If this team rallies together like last year then they can do incredible things in this tournament.

    Let's go Aggies!!
  • Men's Big West Conference Tournament March 8-10
In retrospect that's the year I kind of want to forget about the most. I don't think the team really performed to its potential considering we now know how talented that roster was (Graham, Lemar, Schneider, Fox, and Monson are a pretty darn good starting five). And I really don't like having to say "went to postseason in 3 out of the last 4 years" instead of "4 year postseason streak"
  • Men's Big West Conference Tournament March 8-10
I'll be rooting for CSUF to win for the purposes of conference exposure and revenue, but probably won't be watching.

I imagine Fullerton plays with a chip on their shoulder being one of the less-successful programs in recent years. I understand that but now that they're on top they should act like they belong.
  • Men's Big West Conference Tournament March 8-10
I agree, disappointing game but not a disappointing season.

And it's not over yet, we have an NIT to win.
  • Men's Big West Conference Tournament March 8-10
That 2nd FT from Siler looked like it was in --- reminded me of the end of the very first ESPN game
  • Men's Big West Conference Tournament March 8-10
Good Aggie D or bad Titan shooting I wonder?
  • Women's Big West Conference Tournament March 6-10
Aggies down 17-23 at the half.

Defense is there now but shots aren't going down. Press seems to be working, hopefully UCR is tired after their earlier games
