Not really. The NIT will be held in Dallas with only 16 teams this year and the CIT has been canceled. I don't know of any others.

I think Les got about as much as you can get out of the talent that he has which is typical of Les and his staff. We just aren't consistently at the level of UCSB and Irvine year to year. Generally, both of those teams have a couple of players who could be playing in a power conference and that makes a big difference against the rest of the league.

I think the bright spot tonight was seeing the progress that Anigwe has made. We need his size and athleticism in the paint. Otherwise, there wasn't much to write home about. We played hard but just don't match up well with UCSB. The Gauchos are just more talented than us.

So a SB coach can say something insulting to Squire and then Squire gets a T for reacting...should have be a double technical...

That's a good point and a good defensive strategy by SB. They know that we don't match up well with their bigs so it makes sense to lock down on Manjon and Pepper.

We have no answer for the talent of their bigs which isn't completely unexpected but our offense was terrible...no rhythm or flow, forced shots...some of that is due to good D by SB but most of it is just poor execution and an inability to hit shots by the Ags.

We're playing tough defense but the fouls are starting to add up. Amadou Sow is a load...tough to defend him without fouling and he's a good FT shooter to boot...

The Gauchos are definitely the most talented team in the league. They have players who can create an open shot from the perimeter on their own and drain step back 3's from distance. They also have athleticism in the paint. They're a well-rounded team with depth.

Defense without getting into foul trouble and taking care of the ball will be paramount. I think we have to keep the game low scoring. We can't keep up in a shootout.

Outstanding defense by the Aggies spearheaded this victory. We held Hawaii to 24% overall and 22% from beyond the arc 8-36. So many 3 point attempts by Hawaii led to a lot of long rebounds that tend to become 50/50 balls, nevertheless, 17 offensive rebounds by the Bows is kind of shocking,..we won't be able to beat many teams when they get that many offensive boards.

We got some nice minutes from Harris and Carreon. That's nice to see because we haven't shown a lot of depth yet this year.

This game is far from over. The Ags need to continue the great defense they've been playing to get the win.

Yep. 7 offensive rebounds by Hawaii. I think our defense was pretty good holding them to 25% shooting overall but they hit 4 threes to our one and, when they miss from 3, it often ends up being a long rebound and Hawaii has been getting those. Most of our points are in the paint. Hawaii's defense doesn't allow many open looks from the perimeter.

Hawaii takes the lead hitting their 3's and capitalizing on TO's by the Aggies.

12-9 Ags at the end of the first quarter. Neither team shooting well. The Aggies need to finish those point blank shots in the paint.

Currently, the oddsmakers don't think the Aggies have much of a chance against the Gauchos and have us listed as 10.5 point underdogs.
