The Aggies played San Diego tough but ended up losing in 5 sets (10-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20, 9-15). The Ags play Marist tomorrow at 11:30 AM.

The Ags bounced back from their loss to SJS and beat West Valley 24-5.

Fresno State 34 EWU 31 in 2 OT - Final.

Fresno State beat Purdue on the road last week and EWU nearly beat them tonight in Fresno. In the first OT, an EWU receiver made a spectacular, one-handed catch at the 1 yard line. The Eagles scored on 1 yard pass but the EWU receiver got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct so Fresno got to start their possession on the 12.5 yard line instead of the 25 and they scored to tie the game at 31. In the second Ot, EWU held Fresno to a FG but then threw and INT on their possession and Fresno won 34-31.

EWU looks pretty good but, as is typical of Coach Aaron Best teams, they look undisciplined as usual.

EWU and Fresno State are going to overtime tied at 24.

Hawk said he thinks they are a top 10 FBS team and, so far, they look like it. We're way overmatched on both sides of the ball.

Chukwudobe wouldn't be able to do any better. Our O line is severely overmatched by their D line. Chukwudobe would not be able to run over 2 or 3 of their huge D linemen anymore than any other of our running backs.

The Aggies lost their first game of the Trojan Invitational by a score of 3-0 to USC (25-19, 25-19, 26-24) and fall to 3-4 on the season. 2022 national semifinalist San Diego is up next for the Aggies at 3:30 pm Sunday.

A new sound system has been installed at the Aggie stadium.

I wonder if Stanford will continue to play the Aggies once they begin playing in the Big 10? The Big 10 may pressure the new schools to keep their RPI's high by scheduling tough non-conference games just as Gonzaga does in MBB.

The Aggie men would love to schedule St Mary's, Pacific, Santa Clara and USF on a much more regular basis but Gonzaga doesn't want those schools playing the Aggies very often because they feel a possible loss to the Ags can hurt their RPI's more than a win can help. Gonzaga wants their MWC opponents to keep their RPI's as high a possible so when the Zags play them it's better for their own RPI.

The Aggie Athletics website has posted a 30 game schedule for 2023-24 that includes 10 non-conference games. There hasn't been an official announcement so I'm not sure if the non-conference schedule is entirely complete.

The non-conference home games include Academy of Art, Portland State, William Jessop and Saint Mary's. The OOC road schedule is tough: Oregon State, Sac State, Boise State, Washington State, Weber State, and Stanford.

You're right. It looks like we have a home and hone with the Grizzlies. The Ags can schedule 2 more OOC games now.

I didn't know that they were posting an updated schedule as they add games. They've always waited until the schedule was complete before showing anything. I like that they're the they're posting the schedule now as it fills. I think it helps keep Aggie fans in the loop and interested before the actual season begins.
