It's ridiculous that they scheduled this game for a 4 pm start in early October when everyone knows it can be very hot here at this time of the year. It's bad for the players and the fans alike given how hot the Aggie stadium gets when it heats up. I'll bet that the temperature on the artificial turf will be over 100 degrees in the early stages of the game.

The Aggies started off conference play today by beating Long Beach 9-8 on the road. The Ags are 12-6 on the season now.

The Ags lost a close match to Cal Poly last night in 4 sets (25-23, 18-25, 22-25, 25-27). The game was played in front of a good crowd of 802 Aggie fans. This was the first conference loss of the season for the Ags and they now stand at 4-1 in conference play and 9-6 overall.

The Aggies have a tough challenge ahead in their next match as they take on the current conference leader, UC Santa Barbara. The Gauchos are undefeated in conference play at 5-0 and are 15-2 overall. They are also receiving votes in the national rankings.

The match is scheduled for 1 pm in the University Credit Union Center on Saturday. Aggie fans who plan to attend the football game against Montana at 4 pm could start off the day with this volleyball game first and then head over to the football stadium. A big crowd would be a great way to support the Ags in their attempt to upset the Gauchos. Go Ags!

The Ags lost to Santa Barbara last night 2-1 in front of a record breaking crowd of 2006 fans in Aggie stadium. The Aggies are now 1-2 in conference play and 4-5-2 overall.

NAU is another very tough Big Sky team whose season record does not show just how good they are. I was impressed watching them against Sac.

That's good to know. We get to the games early and always go into the stadium and get a program before they're all gone. It seems like they never have enough of them at the football or basketball games. I've shared mine with other fans quite often because they weren't able to get one.

Being able to print these flip cards at home is a nice option to have but I doubt that most Aggie fans never knew they existed. Aggie Athletics needs to get the word out to the fans though since the flip cards are buried on the media page and most fans never visit that page.

The new login over at AGS is using your email plus a password on the login page. So I believe you can keep your SochorFiled user name but need to create a new account using your current email and a new password. That should work. Good luck. It would be nice to see some Aggie fan presence over there. The most active members are fans of the Dakotas and the Montanas.

Well that's a bummer. I think the easiest thing to do at this point is to create a new account. If you used to post under the name SochorField, then go ahead and try to create a new account using that name. If you get a message saying that name is already taken, then you could alter it slightly. Try adding a space between Sochor and Field or add a number like SochorField2 or something other slight alteration etc. Or, even use a new name if you like. You'll have to create a new password, of course, but I think this should work.

The Big West released the schedule for all MBB games that will be nationally televised on ESPNU. The Aggies will have 2 home games and 2 road games nationally televised.

Yep...Aggie Pride indeed! The Ags better get going and win a national championship because I don't have anything close to another 50 years to see it happen!

I get it. I've been a fan since 1972 and the D2 glory years were special but we were never able to win the D2 National Championship. Close...but no cigar and now, it's a struggle to just make it into FCS playoffs...so I get it...we keep thinking "this will be the year" but it just seems to keep slipping away. However, I guess I'm an eternal optimist so I'll remain forever hopeful...

I agree. I'm happy that we are finally getting these pre and post-game pressers on a regular basis but the audio can be much better. We couldn't hear the questions in the first pressers and now, as you noted, it's often hard to hear the players and the mic used for the by the press for the questions is constantly making loud scratching sounds because it's rubbing against someone's lap.

These are easy fixes. Remind the players before they enter the room to bring the mic close to them and speak clearly into the mic like Hawk does and also instruct the press to turn the mic off between questions. How hard can that be?

I know that our offense has not looked all that polished at times and has had too many turnovers but our overall numbers are not bad. Here's our offensive totals not including the OSU mismatch game:

So we are averaging 436 yards per game even with all the key injuries the offense has had. 436 yards per game is pretty darn good and, given how good our defense has played, I think we can still compete even though we're beat up. We need to take care of business and knock the socks of Montana and then grind out a win against Weber while some of our players heal up.
