I'm glad that Sac won. It's good for the Big Sky and it makes our win over the Hornets look even better. Kaden Bennett is a heck of a good QB for Sac.

It looks like it. ND is rolling now. 28-28 at the end of the 3rd.
  • 2023-24 FCS Playoffs
    28-14 Sac at the half.

Beating a dead horse here, but losing to NAU was the killer.SochorField

NAU was a better team than their record. They had some "bad loses" but they also beat Montana and Weber and came only lost to Sac by 1 point in a game they" coulda, shoulda have won." However, we lost to NAU by 17 and that stood out like a sore thumb.

The committee really slept on Davis.SochorField

Agree...Sac appears that they may well romp over ND and, if that happens, the committee's decision to leave the Aggies out yet again, looks even worse.
  • 2023-24 FCS Playoffs
14-7 Sac at the end of the first quarter.

Sac's offense is #13 in the FCS and North Dakota's defense is #113. I think we would have run all over ND.
  • 2023-24 FCS Playoffs
Well, I have mixed feelings. I like to see the Big Sky do well and, if Sac beats ND, then it makes the Aggies win over the Hornets look even better and makes the committee look even more wrong for leaving the Ags out for the second straight year.

Actually, there are some bleachers on the floor level behind the east and west baskets but, everything else in the 100 and 200 sections have seats with backs. I forgot about those. I edited my previous post so it would be accurate.

You will be able to find a seat with a back. The only seats without backs are the bleachers in the uppermost level that they only pull out when they expect a very large crowd and that rarely happens. We have season tickets and our seats have backs but there aren't that many season tickets holders around us and there are always people who arrive and sit in the open seats. Generally, no one checks the tickets to make sure you are sitting in the correct section either so people move around. I also doubt that the crowd will be very big for tomorrow's game.

All of the seats in the 100 sections, except the bleachers behind the east and west baskets on the floor level and all the 200 sections have backs. The bleachers in the 300 sections do not have backs.

The Aggies season came to an end in the first round of the Big West Tournament as they lost a very close 5 set match to Cal Poly (25-19, 25-15, 19-25, 22-25, 13-15). The Aggies are a very young team and they should be even better next year. The future is bright for Aggie volleyball.

I'm glad you are a mainstay on the Aggie forum, Toke, there aren't that many of us here that actively post although I think we have quite a few who read the forum fairly regularly. I enjoy hearing the stories about your years at UCD. It's also nice to know we have at least one dedicated Aggie fan in Hawaii and I love it when you put on your Aggie gear and root the Ags on when they play on the island. You're a true Aggie fan!

It was the huge run in the first half that secured the win for the Ags. After that the game was pretty even. It was a much better game for the Aggies. They needed it and it's always nice to beat Sac!

Good balanced scoring for the Aggies:
    Norris 21
    Turner 18
    Sabel 16
    Baker 8
    Svanholm 8

It looks like the Ags are going to put up a lot of 3's this year. They were 13-32 tonight. It also looks like teams want to play zone against the Aggies and make them shoot from the outside so they'll need to shoot a good percentage from beyond the arc.

Of concern, is the Aggies getting beat on the boards again despite their height advantage. Sac out rebounded them by 9 boards. The Ags are not blocking out well and have not been aggressive enough on the boards. I hope they can work on that before the next two games against Boise State and Washington State.

63-41 Ags at the end of the 3rd quarter.
