• Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
I know, but does our points against success mask opportunities to be better? The Idaho pass receivers said they like playing us because we’re almost all man. Maybe we need to mix coverages up more? But anyway, it would be interesting to hear what the philosophy is. Robert Tucker always talked about being disruptive. It seems that that’s deemphasized. The stats don’t show that because of the five interceptions against Dixie.

Any normal media environment would have had a story about our new defensive coordinator and his philosophy before this season or last spring. . We’re now 11 games into his tenure. While it’s hard to quibble with the results, because we’re winning, we give up yards too willingly. It would be nice to hear what his philosophy is. Not much to go on from his past, because he’s a newbie.
I still wonder if Eaton should be back where he played before, which I think was strong side linebacker. The rush position seems to be where good linebackers go to disappear. He had one assisted tackle against Idaho.
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ Idaho State
Maybe they need a spotter if they don’t have one. No excuse for how many times they get players wrong. But the biggest drawback of the Dunning choice is that now you have two guys with Davis anecdotes but nothing for the other half of the audience.

I agree with these guys 100% on our broadcast announcers.
They are also right about their receivers, a lot of depth like us but their guys are bigger.
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
Idaho has an impressive group of receivers, lots of size, a good running back, a QB who can throw and their own version of Magic. We still held them to three scores. I think that’s impressive.

Hopefully TT will get a chance to throw again. They e been inexplicably reluctant to let him throw.

I wonder why Larison didn’t get a bigger role.

Best game for our pair of senior wide receivers in a long while. Its usually been one or the other but they both had big games.

Is that Aggie football, or what ?
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
if they had watched us never let Trent pass for ten games it’s reasonable.
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
    Blake Thorpe had some catches
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
The big run by Borisch was the key defensive breakdown
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
I don’t think anyone had a good read on Idaho. This is their first competitive game. But their QB rotation has worked and they have some good big receivers
  • Big Sky and Other FCS Games Week 5
The team they play so they can beat them
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
I think the multiple QBs works just fine, if they have different skills.
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
We have two DT in there for short yardage, Rodgers and Suani
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
Yeah and he has no help from Dunning, the blind with the blind
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
Scott marsh getting his players mixed up., Buchanan not a Oregon State transfer
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
I just wish they would let him throw once in a while
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
Aren’t we all just part of a simulation? A pale shadow of our ancestors who mad things with heavy hot stuff?

This all about the tractor has a familiar ring to it.
There was an active Ag mechanics club that looked after the thing but since disbanded. They had some early gas tractors too. The steam engine wasn’t really a tractor. It was like a portable steam engine to power all sorts of mechanical functions.
I don’t know if actually having something hot, with fire and steam is acceptable in North America any longer. Too risky.
If they could locate the tractor they might simulate the engine whistle with compressed air or something.
