I really don’t think moving commencement to the Golden 1 will hurt Davis businesses. The students are still living in and around Davis. Mom and dad will arrive a few days before graduation, take their kids shopping, and enjoy Davis restaurants. Davis restaurants are packed during graduation. I expect them to remain that way with a Golden 1 ceremony, as well as the hotels.

Some how slac always pulls off the close games. I thought Richmond was going to take them.

Well, it got exciting in the last minute, but it didn’t need to be. Uop seemed to control the offensive boards and they nailed their FTs. I think Les needs to bring the band into FT practice. But there were times when the house was dead silent and we were still missing them. Painful to watch.

Rain predicted for Sacramento Saturday. Richmond looks to be balanced on offense, averaging 426 yards per game and only 4 picks all season.

The Tigers usually show up with their A game. Should be a fun game to watch. Wife and I were going to be out of town but our plans changed so we’ll be there. Go Ags.

Marsh asked him about that. He just said he talked to them at the half about “not playing the score board” but they did. But he was very complimentary regarding getting the job done in OT. As i listened to the first half, the thoughts of this being a special team were hovering in my mind. But this might end up being a special team. UOP won’t be a push over. I missed the video broadcast but caught most of the game on the radio as well as Coach Les’s post game interview. He said they would right the ship on the FTs and starting tomorrow every player would be shooting 100 FTs a day.

And we have them on the schedule next year, the game before slac. Maybe they find a Troy Taylor, wink.

We will miss him. But I’m confused on how you can leave a graduate program to play football as a grad student at another university. Usually grad programs are competitive to get into. And when you do there’s a commitment to your major prof.
