Years ago there was a competition for the re-naming Murder Burger. The person who came up with Redrum Burger won "burgers for life." I wonder if there was a breach of contract clause :).

I would agree with that. I also think he has been very supportive of athletics. It is common to see him at bball and football games. Not crazy about him using his position as Chancellor to support his political ideology (mainly through FB postings that I have seen). And when he was challenged the comments quietly disappeared.

Reasonable article. Give Jake time and he is going to do well. As is often the case, the game will be won and lost in the trenches unless Jake becomes more mobile. In contrast to our previous coaching staff, Hawk has his guys ready to go game 1. Score against Cal? Vegas has it 11-30 for Cal.

Thats the truth, big time. I went to HS down there. Several of my close friends ended up at SC. Their booster and alumni network is remarkable. And that kind of $ talks the talk and walks the walk.

Wasn't it Weber a few years ago that gave Cal everything they could handle? As i recall, Cal had to come back from being down.

Great accolades for the program, but I think I would rather be rated lower down the list and prove them wrong.

Maier’s pass-catching corps will have much to prove in the wake of Doss’ departure, but it still features two key pieces that have the skillset to keep things rolling. Junior wideout Jared Harrell was the Aggies’ second-leading receiver in 2018, catching 62 passes for 896 yards and 5 touchdowns. He’ll be complemented by senior tight end Wes Preece, who had a breakout sophomore year in 2017 and tied Doss with nine receiving touchdowns last year.

I think athletics did a good job utilizing the available footprint. I hope they have a plan for a gathering place for the students, which i did not see addressed in the press release.
