Sounds like the Vandals have a stud punter. 50 yard average last week, with a long of 61. Apparently he was able to switch the field to the Vandals advantage.

    “What’s Going To Happen

The Aggies have the talent and upside to be as strong as they were in 2018, and Idaho is still a bit of a question mark even after the great first win over Eastern Washington. It’s going to be an even game that comes down to mistakes, and UC Davis will make a few more of them on the road.”

I’ve actually flown direct into Pullman in the summer. It’s about a 4 hour flight for me from Davis, but as you mention, this time of the year can be dicey, especially for small planes.

Was just looking at flights from SMF to Moscow or nearby. That’s a tough place to get to unless you're on a charter. If the price was right i would entertain the idea, but it looks like it will be a watch party with my wife and the canines, lol.
  • R.I.P. D2 football in California
The middle class families are the ones that pay the price, especially when it comes to professional school. Those kids (in prof programs) are graduating with $150,000 + in student loans. Outrageous. I had a student from south america that i mentored through her undergraduate program. She was an average student. When she graduated, i asked her about her student loan debt. Nada. Free ride for everything including living expenses.
  • No fan attendance-how are you holding up ?
I drove by Plainfield last weekend, they were open but looking for a cook

We’re hoping fans will be allowed for the game at SLO. Take the RV and make a small vacation out of it with wine tasting in Paso, COVID permitting.

Last week athletics stopped by with the mobile tailgate. We sat on our front lawn, socially distanced and masked, talking about football. It was a real pleasure to visit and talk about a lot of the issues that we have been speculating about on this forum. As discussed here, the health of our student athletes is the priority, including very frequent covid testing and providing our testing (and expertise) to other schools. Proud of our program.

We are a big “unknown” but he sings praises about Gilliam.

I was looking up the weather for the game then realized they have a dome. “The Kiddie Dome,” described by ESPN as “the tiny Dome.”

Well i guess all those ndsu fans will be loosing their plane and hotel reservations to frisco.
  • Coach Hawkins toughest test to date?
EWU, ugh. I was there for the regular season game when we got destroyed. I will never forget the totally cheap shot on Doss as he was stretched out, hit hard before the ball was even close. Terrible, ice cold stadium with no protection from a blistery breeze coming out of Canada.. People huddled in the men’s room at half time to get warm. I sat with a former Aggie player who i ran into at the game. I thought he was going to get into a fist fight with the obnoxious EWU fan sitting next to us. But then there was a group in front of us that were super nice and welcoming. I had to walk through their home side after the game, that was not a pleasant experience. Realizing every group has bad apples, i seriously doubt i would ever return to that stadium.

Interesting. The nurse they interviewed should have listened to the experts at health systems, but I’m glad she came around.
