I was impressed with both Ds. Not sure if the offensive flatness for both teams was just that, flatness, or the strong Ds taking away the plays. I was not that impressed with MSU.
Looking at how ISU picked us apart with their back up QB supports the “sacks by” figure. We need to get to their guy and protect ours. Hopefully HR has a good day. He needs it as much as we do.
It sure seemed like when we were in panic mode, (end of third into fourth) the faster tempo was an improvement. And HR looked better. Not sure why we dropped the no huddle approach.
River, I’m missing your point. Surely FCS coaches can be lured away. So can HS coaches. Coaching salaries are a distinction between FCS and FBS, and something that needs to be considered.
“I kept thinking we’d eventually have a breakthrough and get things going like we have all season, but it just didn’t happen,” said Aggie head coach Dan Hawkins at his weekly press conference.
“A true sportsman will tip his cap to Idaho State. They made the plays they needed to make to win and we didn’t. They came out swinging and they gashed us with some heartbreaking plays, some real knockout blows,” Hawkins added. “I told our guys that you can lose the game, but don’t lose the lesson. If it can make you better, then it’s a good thing. We’re still a good football team. We’re still 5-1. I know my greatest learning experience as a coach has always been when something bad happens.”
When the internet was just getting rolling, a computer nerd buddy told me once you put something out, even if deleted, it can always be found. I wonder if this investigation will reveal more career ending content.
