Week 10: UC Davis @ Northern Arizona The elevation factor always worries me for teams coming from sea level. Add the limitation on the size of the traveling team which might decrease available substitutions and the guys can wear down. Lets hope we can jump on the lumberjacks early and maintain a positive time of possession to keep our D rested.
Some years ago someone, i think a former coach, commented on the strategy of dealing with high elevation fields. As i recall, it was counterintuitive in that you wanted your athletes to be at the higher elevation for a short time prior to game time. My guess would have been longer to allow for acclimation but apparently thats not the case.
